Microsoft Teams Permissions and Data Access
Our Microsoft Teams integration can automatically invite users to join a MoveZenGo challenge. Once a challenge is linked to a Teams channel or chat, anyone added to that channel or chat can automatically receive an invitation to participate.
What Permissions Does MoveZenGo Need?
To send invitations automatically, MoveZenGo needs access to the members of the Teams channel or chat that you connect to your challenge.
When you add the MoveZenGo Teams app to a channel or chat, these permissions are granted only for that specific channel or chat.
Using a Team
For organization-wide wellness programs, we recommend creating a dedicated Team for MoveZenGo challenges.
For example, you might create a Team called Company Wellness and add employees who should be eligible for wellness challenges. When a challenge is connected to a channel within that Team, MoveZenGo can automatically invite members of that Team to participate.
This approach gives you full control over who receives challenge invitations by simply managing Team membership within Microsoft Teams.
Using a Chat
You can also connect a challenge to a specific Teams chat.
This option works well for smaller groups or pilot programs where only a limited number of participants need to be invited. MoveZenGo will use the members of that chat when sending challenge invitations.
Managing Invitations
To add or remove potential participants, simply update the membership of the connected Team channel or chat in Microsoft Teams. MoveZenGo will use the current membership information when managing challenge invitations.
